The Butterfly Effect (R) 8.0

IMDB says about The Butterfly Effect (2004): A young man blocks out harmful memories of significant events of his life. As he grows up, he finds a way to remember these lost memories and a supernatural way to alter his life.

Directors: Eric Bress, J. Mackye Gruber
Stars: Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart and Melora Walters

The title of the movie gives away a little bit. By picking slightly different initial conditions, you can affect the outcome of a series of major events. And, if you can go back and pick various initial conditions, wouldn't you be able to make the world the way you'd want it to be? I wrote a blog entry called Fate about this same thing, but from a different perspective. This movie, sort of, comes to the same conclusion ... there's only one fitting way for things to happen. I like this movie a lot. My Rating: 8.0
